Making paintings in Minecraft is incredibly easy. Adding painting to your Minecraft buildings can help cover up those barren walls and add a little color to even the faintest of objects. Players can create their own paintings fairly quickly on both Java and Bedrock Edition by following a few steps.

Custom paintings in Minecraft can be made in a variety of ways and take almost no materials to make. It allows players to decorate as they wish and uses only a handful of sticks and a few blocks of fleece. Creating a custom painting can be done in a variety of ways. These include manipulating Minecraft’s core .jar file, creating resource packs, or placing them directly in the world’s save folder.

Step 1: Visit a custom painting site like On Mcpaintings, players will see different painting dimensions on the left side of the screen.

Step 2: By clicking the left side of the screen, players can upload an image of their choice from their machine.

Step 3: Now uploading an image, players can crop the image to the right as per their choice. Once the cropping is finished, simply click on the next blank image or dimension to continue uploading and cropping images for any painting dimensions you want to use.

Step 4: Press the Download Pack button.

Step 5: Select a name and description for the pack followed by the version of the game it will be uploaded to.

Next, players will need to import their resource pack into the game.

For Java Edition follow the below steps:

Step 1: Download the resource pack file.
Step 2: Open Minecraft, then navigate to Options, Resource Packs, and then Open Resource Pack Folder. This will open the game’s Resource Pack folder, where players can place their newly downloaded ZIP files. The game may need to be restarted later.
Step 3: Navigate to Options and then Resource Packs. The custom painting pack should now be selectable for use.

For Bedrock Edition (Android) follow the below steps:

Step 1: Download the resource pack file. If it’s a .zip file, it will need to have its file extension renamed into a .mcpack file.
Step 2: Now open the file with Minecraft.
Step 3: Navigate to Options, select Global Resources, open My Packs, and select your new resource pack. The game may need to be restarted before the pack can be activated.
